According to a new survey, two out of three people were overcharged on at least one bill in the last year.
One out of three people were overcharged on MORE than one bill . . . and 95% of the time, if the customer doesn't find the mistake, the company's not going to tell them about it.
On average, people were overcharged $303 . . . but one in 10 were overcharged by more than $600.
And on average, it took two months for the mistake to be resolved, either by the customer getting a refund, or the charge being removed. But 6% of people NEVER got the mistake resolved.
And finally, it took an average of eight HOURS on the phone with the company to get the mistake taken care of.
