Defriending Someone on Facebook Makes Them Drop You as a Real Friend Too

Think about THIS before you start going through your list of Facebook friends and defriending people en masse.

--The way you treat your VIRTUAL friendships has a huge impact on your ACTUAL friendships.

--In a new study by the University of Colorado at Denver, 40% of people say that if someone defriended them on Facebook, they would avoid that person and STOP being friends with them in real life.

--Women are more likely to say they'd defriend the person in real life than men.

--The top four reasons people give for defriending people are:  Frequent and unimportant posts . . . polarizing posts, usually about politics or religion . . . inappropriate, sexist, or racist posts . . . and boring posts about their kids or food.
