"Time"magazine just released a list of the 100 greatest video games of all time. And even though it's not necessarily their strongest area of expertise, it looks like they did a pretty thorough job. Here are some of the highlights . . .

--"Pong", arcade, 1972.
--"Spade Invaders", arcade, 1978.
--"Pac-Man", arcade, 1980.
--"Frogger", arcade, 1981.

--"Myst", computer, 1993.
--"SimCity 2000", computer, 1993.
--"Tomb Raider", Sega Saturn, 1996.
--"Goldeneye 007", Nintendo 64, 1997.
--"Halo", Xbox, 2001.
--"Grand Theft Auto 3", PlayStation 2, 2001.
--"World of Warcraft", computer, 2004.

--"Time" also let people vote on their picks. "Oregon Trail" got the most support as a correct pick. A text-only computer game from 1972 called "Hunt the Wumpus" got the most votes as an undeserving pick.
