Five Technology Gifts That Nobody Wants

Believe it or not, Black Friday is just two weeks away.  Which means it's almost time to start worrying about CHRISTMAS GIFTS.  So we've got a list from Yahoo of a few technology gifts you might NOT want to put on your shopping list this year.

--They mention those digital frames that were popular four or five years ago, but apparently everyone already KNOWS not to buy them anymore.  Here are five more technology gifts that nobody wants.

#1.)  A New Case for Their Smartphone.  Some people just don't like using them because it makes their phone bulkier.  But even if they DO want one, you should let THEM pick it out, because the one YOU pick might not be their style.

#2.)  Cleaning Kits.  Meaning things like DVD and CD cleaners.  The big ones right now are cleaning kits for expensive CAMERAS.  But unless the person you're buying it for is a professional photographer, they probably won't use it.

#3.)  GPS Navigation Units. More and more people are using the GPS on their cell phone.  And a lot of new cars have it already built in.  So if you buy them one now, they might not use it for very long.

#4.)  A Random Video Game.  If it's for a little kid who doesn't know any better, that's fine.  Otherwise, find out what game they WANT.  Don't just ask the cashier what's popular, and don't just buy one because it's on sale.

#5.)  Licensed Products.  Meaning things with a celebrity or movie attached . . . like the limited-edition "Halo" version of the Xbox 360, or a pair of $180 Justin Bieber headphones.  In a few months, chances are they won't like them anymore.
