For the love of God, do NOT fake a crime to look like a hero. It seems like it's been a trend this year. And it can't turn out more tragic than this.
Back on May 12th, 20-year-old Kyle Dube of Orono, Maine wanted to impress a 15-year-old named Nichole Cable who'd refused his advances. And yes, that age difference is troubling enough to show you there's something wrong with this guy.
So Dube decided to FAKE Nichole's kidnapping to win her over. He set up a fake Facebook profile, became friends with her online, then arranged to meet her near her house. But when she showed up, he jumped out in a ski mask, duct taped her mouth, put her in a pickup truck, and drove to the woods.
When he got there . . . he found out she had DIED. Her cause of death hasn't been determined yet, but something Dube did killed her. So he'd switched from a fake kidnapper into a REAL MURDERER . . . and dumped her body.
The police found Nichole's body eight days later and quickly connected it to Dube. His brother told the cops Dube planned to, quote, "kidnap Nichole and hide her . . . [so] he would find her later and be the hero."
He's facing murder and kidnapping charges . . . and looking at 25 years to life in prison.
