Cooking competition in seven categories ($75 entry fee):
o 3 meat categories (brisket, chicken, ribs)
o 4 pinto bean categories (appetizer, one-dish, main dish, and dessert)Friday (starting 7 pm):
o Karaoke Elgin Wild Bunch Free
o 42 tournament ($10/team entry fee)Saturday (various starting times; event lasts all day into the night)
o Horseshoe tournament ($20/team entry fee)
o Washers tournament ($10/team entry fee)
o Silent Auctiono KidFish (kids 12 and under fish for live catfish in a tank; club members teach them how to bait their hooks, net the fish they catch and safely remove hooks; there is no charge to enter and trophies are given for first through third place for biggest fish caught each hour; biggest fish each hour wins a fishing pole)
o Sausage wraps and BBQ sandwiches sold all day at the concession stand
o Karaoke after awards ceremony until ??? Best Yet Karaoke FreeFood and drinks are available Friday night and all day Saturday.
There is no charge to the public to come and join the fun.
Anyone can enter any of the tournaments or competitions.
